  • Tarkir: Dragonstorm: Launched on April 11, 2025, this set saw a return to the popular, dragon-filled plane of Tarkir, reintroducing wedge gameplay (Jeskai, Sultai, Temur, Abzan, and Mardu).
  • Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY™: This is the next major release, slated for June 13, 2025. Confirmed Upcoming Releases for 2025 & Beyond

Looking further ahead, Wizards of the Coast has an ambitious lineup:

  • Edge of Eternities: Releasing August 1, 2025. This set is described as a "space opera" or Magic's take on space fantasy, exploring new planets within the Blind Eternities and featuring the planeswalker Tezzeret.
  • Marvel's Spider-Man: The first full Marvel booster release is scheduled for September 26, 2025, and will be Standard-legal. This marks a significant step in the multi-year deal between Wizards of the Coast and Marvel.
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender: Closing out 2025, this Universes Beyond set is planned for November 21, 2025. Details are still emerging for this popular IP crossover.
  • "Return To Lorwyn": Scheduled for Q1 2026, this set will take players back to the Celtic folklore-inspired plane of Lorwyn.
  • "Return To Arcavios": Following Lorwyn, a return to the magical university plane of Arcavios (home of Strixhaven) is expected in Q2 2026.
